Pro is 79 US dollars a year. The short version of the split is that diagnosis is free and acting on it is Pro: you can see every problem PostPulse finds without paying, and Pro is what turns that into a queue it can carry out for you.

Activating your license

In WordPress, open PostPulse settings, go to Plan and Billing, paste your license key and save. The plan badge updates once the key is checked.

Then install the second plugin, below. The key on its own switches on the AI features and nothing else.

Installing the PostPulse Pro plugin

Pro comes as two plugins. PostPulse itself is on WordPress.org, so the directory keeps it updated. The paid features live in a separate plugin, PostPulse Pro, which we distribute ourselves: the action queue, traffic decay alerts, the 404 monitor, external broken link checking and 90 day history all come from it.

The reason for the split is WordPress.org's own rules, which do not allow a plugin in the directory to lock features behind a payment. The AI features are the exception and need no second plugin, because they run on our servers rather than inside the plugin, which the rules do allow.

To install it, with your license key already saved:

  1. On Plan and Billing, choose Download PostPulse Pro. The button appears there whenever the plugin is missing.
  2. Go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin and choose the file you downloaded.
  3. Activate it.

After that it behaves like any other plugin: updates appear on the Plugins screen and install with one click, for as long as your subscription is active. You never need to download it by hand again.

If you have already uploaded it but the features are still missing, it is probably installed and not activated. Plan and Billing says so, with an Activate button.

If it still says Free

The most common cause is a host that blocks outgoing HTTP requests, which stops the key from being verified. Ask your host to allow outbound requests to api.postpulse.net. Otherwise check for a typo, and that the subscription is still active.

Once verified, the result is cached and rechecked periodically. If verification fails later because of a temporary outage, PostPulse keeps trusting the last successful check rather than dropping you to Free.

Using it on more than one site

One Pro license covers 3 sites. Each install registers itself the first time it checks in, and the plugin shows how many slots are in use.

To move a license, open Plan and Billing on the site you are finished with and choose Release this site. The slot is freed immediately.

A site is identified by an identifier stored in its own database rather than by its domain, so cloning a site to staging, or moving to a new domain, does not consume an extra slot or lose your activation.

Why your statement says LINK.COM

PostPulse sells through Stripe's merchant of record service, which means Stripe handles the sale, the tax and the receipts. The customer facing brand for that is Link.

So:

  • Your card statement reads LINK.COM* PostPulse.
  • Your receipt arrives from Link, not from us.
  • Checkout says the purchase is sold through Link.

This is a real PostPulse charge. If you do not recognise the name, that line is us. Please email support before disputing it, because a dispute is slower for you than a refund and costs us a fee either way.

Managing or cancelling

Because Link processes the payment, subscriptions are managed at link.com, where you can view your orders, update your card, change your billing address or cancel. The link in your receipt goes straight there.

Cancelling stops the renewal. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout, and any sales tax or VAT is calculated and handled for you.

Refunds

Email support@postpulse.net and tell us what went wrong. If PostPulse is not doing what you expected, we would rather refund you than have you keep paying for it.

What happens if you stop paying

Nothing is deleted and nothing breaks. The site reverts to Free: health scores, recommendations, the link inventory and your collected history all keep working. Pro features stop, and auto-link rules over the free limit stop being applied rather than being removed, so resubscribing restores them.
